almost anything can
‘rock’ at a particular
moment. So what
does it mean when
Well, it means that
this compact crossover
has a spacious cabin,
and excellent fuel mileage
at an affordable price!
Furthermore, the Equinox looks, drives, and feels like a crossover that costs
twice as much. To provide excellent rear leg room, it has a 112.5 inch wheelbase
Additionally, its MultiFlex rear seat provides a new standard for usefulness as it

This Chevy looks better than its competitors as it has an assertive and
upscale exterior. The wheels have been moved out to the corners to provide
a solid stance. The sleek angle of the windshield looks good but also helps

use of high-strength steel to reduce the vehicle’s weight, improve its
handling, and eliminate any squeaks or rattles. Powerplants include a
new direct-injected 2.4-liter 182 hp Ecotec four-cylinder engine that
provides up to 32 mpg on the highway or an optional direct-injected
3.0-liter 264 hp V6 that enables the vehicle to tow up to 3500 lbs. The

StabiliTrak electronic stability control, variable assisted power steering,
and four-wheel independent suspension that gives the Equinox responsive

On the interior, this Chevy surprises and delights with its high quality
materials. The attention to details and layout excellence on this vehicle
make its competitors look out of sync. The Equinox’s orthopedically
designed seats are available in luxurious cloth or perforated leather.
As mentioned earlier, the rear seats slide forward or back up to eight
inches to increase rear leg room. Furthermore the split-folding feature
increases cargo space from seats up 31.4 to seats down 63.7 cubic feet.
The glove box is large, the center console will hold a laptop, and there
are multiple cup holders. The interior’s luxury mood is completed with
ice-blue lighting, metal accents, stitched leather, and triple sealed doors
for a very quiet cabin.
Safety features on this crossover include six air bags and inflatable
side curtains. These and a strong unibody structure, rollover avoidance
technology, as well as a five-star collision rating make this one of the
safest SUVs in the segment.
Optional equipment available on the Equinox includes a remote starting
system, heated seats, a rear vision monitor, dual climate controls, and a dual-
DVD entertainment system.
Prices for the 2010 Chevy Equinox are from $22,440 – $29,975. This
new crossover is what we all knew GM was capable of building and thus
the Equinox is indeed worth a long test drive.
