On Tuesday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m., Southwestern Law School will deliver the next installement of its A Conversation With… series. The event is sponsored by Southwestern’s Biederman Institute and will feature Jared Jussim. Mr. Jussim is the Executive Vice President, Intellectual Property Department and Deputy General Counsel of Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.
Mark your calendars future entertainment lawyers. This will be a great event to attend. Mr. Jussim has played an especially significant role in the entertainment business for over 40 years and has great insight into the legal challenges that movie studios face, from publicity rights to music publishing and way, way beyond.
Southwestern Law School Trustee John Schulman, partner and chair of the Entertainment Department at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, will be leading the conversation which is titled Reflections on the Practical Practice of Law from the Prespective of a (Flat-Headed) Screwdriver. Another great reason to attend: to figure out why this is the title of the conversation.
This event is free and attorneys who attend will get one hour of CLE credit. It goes without saying that law student attendees interested in entertainment law can get some good networking in at this event as well.
More information about Jared Jussim, this event and reservation information.
Location: Southwestern Law School, 3050 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010.
