Aveion Malik Lewis is the subject of a Virginia Amber Alert. He disappeared on January 15, 2010 after three men broke into the family home, tied up a four-year-old girl, and knocked his step-father unconscious. Brandon Lockett, Aveion’s stepfather spoke to media and described what happened. “I heard a knock at the door, I went to the back door and all I remember was boom. That`s all I remember. When I came — when I came to, my wife was standing over me, and my son was crying, and my daughter, she was gagged, upstairs in her room, and that`s all I remember.”
Brandon Lockett also states that Aveion was born with a health condition, intestinal malrotation, that will impact his need for care. Brandon Lockett also addressed Aveion’s condition when speaking to media. “He has malrotation, meaning he can eat, but — he can eat, but his body won`t absorb the fats that it needs, so it doesn`t have the enzymes that it needs. Lockett also told reporters what he remembers from the morning of January 15, 2010, the day that Aveion was abducted, “I seen some guys earlier that morning, but as far as right then when it happened, I don`t recall no faces. I just remember black, seeing just black. That`s all I remember. But I remember some guys I had seen earlier that morning on the side of my house, and also I seen some guys over here in the Food Lion parking lot.
