” Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices, but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence and fulfills the duty to express the results of his thought in clear form.” ~ Albert Einstein
On her Auntie Moon blog, cjwright says ~ “I can’t look at Einstein anymore without thinking of Aquarius. Love that hair! For real. He wasn’t an Aquarian, he was a Pisces. He did have Uranus in the 3rd House, however, opposing Jupiter in Aquarius with both squaring Pluto in the 11th. That’s a nice little Aquarian/Uranian T-Square. He had to work it out, you know?” Read entire post
The name Albert Einstein has become synonymous with genius. The scientific definitions of our modern age ~ from the Bomb to space travel, electronics and quantum physics ~ all reflect his amazing radical thinking.
Although not a Sun Aquarius, Einstein had Aquarius in the ninth house, the house of higher learning. The 9th house represents the collective mind after it has been organized. Here is where we gather our thoughts together into one principle or belief system. Thus laws, religions and philosophies are created that represent the thinking of many minds.
Certainly, with Aquarius on the 9th, Einstein’s beliefs were anything but common and seemed crazy to many people of his time. With Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, in the 3rd house, Einstein had a brilliant, creative and intuitive mind plus a radical and restless quality of mental and nervous energy. His radical and revolutionary thinking led him to rebel against the established beliefs of his time. The “nice little Aquarian/Uranian T-Square” mentioned above is well expressed in his very famous quote ~ “Great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”
