Although Nora Roberts has achieved her bestseller status largely through the books she has published for her current Putnam publishers, she got her start as a mainstream author with Bantam Books. Bantam continues to reprint the titles she published for them, which were originally released between 1987 and 1991.
Nora Roberts’ Bantam publications consisted of the following eight titles:
- Hot Ice, Bantam, 1987
- Sacred Sins, Bantam, 1987
- Brazen Virtue, Bantam, 1988
- Sweet Revenge, Bantam, 1989
- Public Secrets, Bantam, 1990
- Genuine Lies, Bantam, 1991
- Carnal Innocence, Bantam, 1991
- Divine Evil, Bantam, 1992
As of February 21, 2010, Bantam’s website listed three titles to be reprinted during 2010. These include Genuine Lies, Carnal Innocence and Sacred Sins.
Bantam’s January 5, 2010 reprint of Genuine Lies (1991) became the first of Nora Roberts’ 2010 publications. In this work, biographer Eve Benedict discovers the secrets that lie in the past of the legendary Hollywood actress Eve Benedict and finds romance with Eve’s stepson, Paul Winthrop.
Bantam has scheduled its reprint of Carnal Innocence (1991) for March 23, 2010. In this tale famed concert violinist Caroline Waverly is charmed by noted womanized Tucker Longstreet in Innocence, Mississippi – a sleepy southern town that will be violently awakened by the actions of a serial killer.
Bantam will also reprint Sacred Sins (1987), the first of two titles in the Sacred Sins series, on August 31, 2010. Washington D.C. provides the setting in which psychiatrist Tess Court joins forces with Detective Ben Paris to combat The Priest – a killer who sees murder as a means of redemption.
Roberts followed Sacred Sins with Brazen Virtue (1988), a book that takes Ben Paris’s partner, Ed Jackson, as its focal point. Bantam has not, as yet, revealed plans to reprint that title this year.
Bantam also reprinted two of its Nora Roberts titles during 2009. These were Sweet Revenge (1989), which came out on April 28, 2009, and Public Secrets (1990), released on July 28, 2009.
