If you’re like many other people here at the beginning of 2010, the last few years have seen some great big changes in your life. Some of those changes may have been difficult – the loss of a job, home, relationship. Perhaps you’ve had health challenges, or had to deal with the loss of your health care coverage. Maybe you moved to a new city, started a new life. Whatever you faced, you were certainly challenged to find a new way to do things. A wake up call, you might call it.
Everything has been moving and shaking on Planet Earth over the last couple of years. Unless you live in a bubble, you have been affected by these changes. When they began, you may have tried to run for cover, wondering how you were going to deal, survive, live. As the old ways of living and doing things were destroyed, as more came to light in the public eye, it may have begun to dawn on you that new choices were needed.
It is the time in human evolution for a more conscious approach. What this means is that one can choose to see clearly what is possible, and stop blaming others out there for limiting one’s choices and abilities. One can begin to take responsibility in a different way, not for fixing or healing or solving others’ problems, but for dealing with one’s own self-created problems. It is the time for healers to start healing themselves, creating a deeper healing by doing so. Once you have decided to heal yourself, others around you can begin to have permission to do the same.
Every human being has abilities already in place. Each of us came here able to create spiritually, energetically. This often escapes the human eye, as we are so busy looking at the outside surface and judging it, that we miss the bigger stuff going on at a deeper level. Sometimes we just don’t want to see what is happening around us. It is hard to look at the disparities existing on this planet, the wasting of valuable resources, human and earth alike. If you don’t want to see something, you will simply not see it.
There is a fine art to having free will. Some people will take absolute advantage of others just because they can. You can bank on it, pun intended. But what about you? How are you exercising your free will these days?
In the words of a great visionary:
“I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality… I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
