Dr. Oz shared his nightly bedtime rituals that he says will turn back the clock while you sleep. They are simple little things that everyone can and should do to enhance their life and health.
Rejuvenating Ritual #1 Brushing
You have to brush your teeth for 2 minutes in order to effectively clean your teeth.
Rejuvenating Ritual #2 Flossing
After brushing, you need to floss. Everything that is between your teeth will never get clean unless you floss.
Rejuvenating Ritual #3 Washing
Wash your face. It is important to remove the dirt, make-up and other impurities before going to bed to prevent break-outs, and allow the skin to breathe and rejuvenate.
Rejuvenating Ritual #4 Hydrate
Drink water prior to going to bed to allow the body to stay hydrated during sleep. Unless you are up all night drinking water, your body will become dehydrated while you sleep. Even more so if you sweat during the night. If you go to bed already dehydrated, it makes the situation worse.
*Tips to help further turn back the clock*
Washing your face The cold winter winds age your skin. When you go to sleep at night, it is important to use an appropriate soap and moisturizer. If you use harsh soap, make sure to use a moisturizer with an emollient to seal in the moisture.
Three things to look for in face wash:
Preventing wrinkles (make sure to use a product that is safe, as Dr. Oz mentioned previously about beauty products) and contains Vitamin A. Retinal help the skin rejuvenate itself.
Humidify Using a humidifier keeps the skin from drying out, especially in the cold winter air. Keeps the skin moisturized.
Vitamins at night Take half in the morning and half in the evening. If you take it at night, while you are sleep, your skin will rejuvenate itself from the inside out.
