Bioware has announced in its official forum that the Dragon Age: Origins Return to Ostagar add-on would not be released today and that it will be delayed. So far there is no reason given for the delay, but we can expect to hear something soon.
Also in Dragon Age Origin news rumors are already stirring about to supposed expansion that was leaked and then removed. Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening will be the first official expansion for the game and is rumored for a March 16th, 2010 release. So far though much of the details are still just rumors, so it’s hard to be sure just what it true and what isn’t. I did remove a bit of the details due to spoilers from the game.
“Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, BioWare’s next thread in the Dragon Age: Origins tapestry, occurs following the events of Dragon Age: Origins and puts players into the role of a Grey Warden Commander entrusted with rebuilding the order of Grey Wardens. How players choose to rebuild their order and resolve the conflict with the mysterious “Architect” are just some of the many intriguing moral choices that will shape each player’s heroic journey. Players will be able to import their character from Dragon Age: Origins or start out as a new Grey Warden from the neighboring land of Orlais.”
GameStop already has a product page as well as a description about the coming expansion. At the moment it is expected for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, with a retail price of $39.99. With a price tag like that let’s hope that the world of Amaranthine is just as big or close to what Ferelden was.
