The Local reported that 130,000 visitors descended on the German capital to catch the 2010 Autumn/ Winter Fashion Week, which runs from January 20th to the 24th. Besides giving people a glimpse at the latest designs that might grace the pages of the high fashion magazines in the near future, it also gave the city an economic boost to the tune of 240 euros per day per person for a grand total of an estimated 31,200,000 euros (or more than $44 million dollars U.S.)
It also did something else. It allowed Berlin to take on the a new image as a fashion metropolis.
The green fashion industry will be represented as well at THEKEY.TO forum in Kreuzberg’s Heeresbäckerei.
