At 60, Bill Jacobs of Dundas, Ontario owned a shop called the Valley Cobbler and lived upstairs with his second wife, Deli. Further confirmation of his former life came one Sunday during a trip to Brantford with his wife to see some Indian dancers.
Along the way, they spotted at a small Indian chapel and graveyard. The site used to be frequented by Indians, who arrived by canoe along the Grand River. Mohawk Chapel, which is where they would meet, is now a busy tourist spot. Bill and his wife decided to stop there on the way back.
When they arrived, Deli decided to leave Bill on his own to explore the reason why he was there. First, he entered the chapel and met a young girl inside. The spirits told Bill that her grandmother was near and she confirmed that yes, the woman was just upstairs.
Upon meeting her, Bill said, “I know you.” That he did, as she replied that he had sold her a pair of shoes. Proceeding to the cemetery, he was led by his spirits to the gravestone of an Indian chief. Standing before it, he realized that he was crying. He then turned and saw the markers of three children.
“What a beautiful sensation. I stayed there about 20 minutes. In my mind, I was told that I had to go but that I would come back,” he said adding, “I plan to return in the spring.”
Though at the time of this interview he had not gone back to the old cemetery, he did receive more confirmation through his association with various groups. One evening, he attended a meeting led by a local reverend. Though the reverend agreed to a short meditation session, he announced that he would not be giving any messages that night. However, Bill became the exception.
The man said to Bill, “They won’t leave me alone. You know what I’m talking about. There are Indian chiefs sitting around you and they want to say you are special. They want me to talk to you about love.”
The reverend added that a short woman, who was his grandmother, had put a gold ball in his lap. About every 10 minutes he would stop and say, “They won’t leave me alone.” He told Bill that the spirits were pleased with what he was doing.
“The spirits know it and want you to know too.”
Over the years, this kind-hearted gent not only learned some of the history associated with his gentle old soul, but also learned a great deal about other psychic occurrences. As his abilities developed with the aid of classes on mind awareness and meditation, he found he could see spirits around other people. He could also sense what others were going through.
One night, he received a visit from his grandmother.
“My grandmother came to me in a golden light. She said, ‘Hello Billy.’ She looked beautiful, not shriveled like when she died. I asked her why and she said that there is no sickness over there. I said I wanted to come, but she said, ‘Billy, in time we’re all going to be together.’ I insisted that I wanted to come, but she replied, “It’s not time; you have things to do.’ That was a beautiful experience.”
Bill’s mastery of meditation led him to an amazing instance of astral travel. Though he’d done this on many occasions, one particular time gave him proof positive that out-of-body experiences were real.
“I laid on the bed, meditated and asked God to protect me. I left my body and rose to the ceiling.”
Very quickly he found himself flying over rocky areas in northern Ontario and straight toward his daughter’s home in Simcoe.
“My daughter was sitting on the floor with the TV on wearing a floppy hat and reading a book. I’d often told her not to do that, so I went around her. I knew the TV show she was watching but forgot the title of the book. The next morning, I called her at work and teased her. I asked, ‘What’s with the floppy hat, reading a book and watching TV at the same time?’ She paused for a minute, then asked, ‘Are you a witch?’ She then added, ‘Dad, if you were down here peaking through the window, why didn’t you come in?’ I convinced her that I wasn’t there in person and would explain it some other time.”
The majority of people undergo a past life regression to find out about their former lives. Find out more about this in Part 3 of this series.
