If you are looking for ways to snag some anime and manga and live in the Colorado Springs area, then stop what you are doing and read this. There are several locations in Colorado Springs in which you can acquire in some way manga and anime. Here are some of the places:
Borders has an awesome selection of manga and anime. Everything you can dream of, well, most of the time, is there. There is even quite a selection of Yaoi and shounen-ai for you Yaoi obsessed fan girls and fan boys. There is a smaller collection of anime, but it is a good collection of what they have. They have Naruto, Bleach, and quite a few others. There are even Otaku accessories of the mangas and animes that are sold. There are two great locations in the Colorado Springs area. If you live on the Southside of town or downtown there is one located at the shopping center at Southgate. The other Borders is placed on the north end of town in the Chapel Hills Mall.
Barnes and Noble is another great place. It has a slightly smaller collection than Borders but it’s enough of collection to see you through. Barnes and Noble is off of a Academy and is next to the Citadel Mall.
Suncoast at the Citadel Mall can also service your needs. They have a great collection of new and used Anime, a small collection of manga and magazines, and some Otaku accessories. If you can’t find the anime you are looking for anywhere else just check out Suncoast, they will probably have it.
Another great place is Entertainmart. It is conveniently located at the Citadel Crossing Center on Academy. It has a great collection of mostly used Anime. They even sell posters there.
You might also want to check any local comic book dealers. The manga collection at those stores may be minimal and most likely popular titles as well.
Just in case you don’t have the money to spend on your favorite manga or anime, go straight to you local library. If you don’t have a card, get one. If you do, just either go to the nearest library and put it on hold or log in on the library’s website and put it on hold that way. This is definitely recommended because a lot of titles are very popular. But be wary, since it is a public library the book will be well warn, pages torn out, and various scribble marks. Borrowing will get you through until you can buy again. And for all you Yaoi obsessed fan girls or boys, there is only one series for your tastes there and that is Loveless. The library also has a small collection of anime. If you find some, remember some series are not complete.
Hope this has helped you. Happy reading and watching!
