Belly fat is the most stubborn type of fat to get rid of…
For most people it’s the last place for them to lose it and without losing it you never really look or feel your best.
The reason is that the broader your shoulders are compared to your waist the more in shape you look. Basically, the more of a “V” shape from your shoulders down to your waist the more physically fit you appear.
The bigger the waist… the straighter the line down from your shoulders and the less of a V you have…
So, whether you’re in clothes or at the beach people immediately know how healthy or in shape you are by just looking at the ratio of your waist to your shoulders.
Now we know that belly fat is stubborn to eliminate, but there is a way!
Actually, there are 3 rules you must follow in order to be successful…
Here are the 3 Rules for Burning Belly Fat:
1. Eat Fat Burning Foods
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… going on severe calorie restricted diets is NOT the way to thin out your waist line (in the long run it will actually make you fatter). What I suggest is eliminating processed flours, sugars, and most inflammatory grain based foods.
I also do recommend eating more healthy fats like avocados, omega-3’s from fish, and adding in more spices like cinnamon and turmeric (think curry and mustard) to increase your body’s fat burning ability.
2. Do Total Body Resistance Based Workouts
This doesn’t mean you need to be doing 60-minute weight workouts 5x a week…
What it does mean is that the fastest way to burn belly fat is to shock your body with short, intense metabolic workouts. You could do body weight exercises, outdoor sprints, or free weight routines that get your heart rate pumping while you tone and tighten your entire body.
3. Lower Inflammation Levels
I’m committed to bringing the effects of “inflammation” into the weight loss mainstream!
The reason is that even if you do everything right, you may still NOT lose weight due to high levels of cortisol/inflammation flowing through your body.
The best way to decrease this inflammation which is caused by any and all stressors in your life (work, family, lack of sleep, workouts, poor nutrition, etc) is by going for light walks, sleeping for about 8 hours, eating better quality alkaline foods, and managing stress through relaxed breathing.
Can you play by those 3 rules?
It’s a lot of information to take in, but I can assure you that anyone who follows these 3 rules will burn every inch of body fat off their belly. The goal may not necessarily be to get “6 Pack ABS,” but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work towards increasing your health and getting a flat stomach by following the 3 rules I’ve outlined for you.
