Our recent two-part series on New Years resolutions talked about iridology and how one local holistic practitioner uses this in her practice. Wanda Boone founded and operates Wanda’s Center for Well Being in Willow Springs, NC- just a few minutes outside of Raleigh. During my iridology session with Wanda she took some time to tell me about her experiences and how she became involved in holistic work and how it literally saved her life.
When you meet Wanda for the first time the first thing you see is a beautiful woman full of energy while at the same time exuding a sense of peacefulness and calm. She really makes you feel welcome and gives you the sense you’ve come to the right place- she clearly lives a very healthy lifestyle- both physically and emotionally.
Regardless of “what ails” you, Wanda will likely recommend her Four Steps to Wellness which include:
1. Eliminate the accumulated toxins (physical & emotional) and stop putting them into your body.
2. Provide the proper nutrition – something your body actually recognizes as food, on a cellular level.
3. Boost the immune system.
4. Pray – (which includes ALL of the following): Get rid of your unresolved emotional issues. – Touch your bare feet to the earth every day. – Breathe. – Move. – Get 30 minutes of sunlight every day. – Live with an attitude of gratitude. – Practice loving yourself the way you are. – And – Let everyone else be the way they are.
These four steps (which, at first glance, may seem simple enough) are the same four steps that Wanda took almost 20 years ago to save her life when she was diagnosed with cancer and given a prognosis of “death in 5 months”. At that time Wanda had multiple forms of cancer throughout her body and her doctor wanted to operate within days. She refused and knew there had to be a better way than just cutting her open and drowning her body with chemicals and radiation. She and her doctor came to an agreement- she would take 90 days to try her approach and then they would reevaluate where she was.
In that 90 days she did not eat anything that “came from a can, box, or jar” and nothing that “ever had a face or a mother”. But of course diet was only one part of the process (step 1 (the physical aspect of that step), and steps 2 and 3). She also had to work very hard at dealing with her emotional toxins and get to the root of what was causing the illnesses. Again, this may sound like an easy exercise to go through but for anyone who has tried to “deal with their stuff”, they know it’s anything but easy.
But that’s what Wanda did and after just a few months, all of the cancer in her body was gone. No surgery to remove cancerous organs or cells, no radiation, no chemo.
So when you go to Wanda and she suggests her Four Steps to Wellness, you know that she speaks from experience. Wanda even offers an Wellness Week residential program where you spend a week at the Wellness Center (leave your cells, laptops, and other connections to the outside world at the door) and you go through the four steps.
Visit Wanda at her Center and see what she might be able to do for you.
